Professional football outfits donated by Anthony Annan

The boys from the Village of Life love to play football and many of them dream to become a professional player themselves one day. They were very honoured and excited to get professional football outfits (shirts, boxers and socks) from the Netherlands. The brother of a volunteer visited a professional football club and got in contact with the Ghanaian football player Anthony Annan (one of the Ghanaian Black Stars), who was playing in the Netherlands. When he and his team heard about the project of Pacodep in Kete Krachi, they decided to donate professional outfits and some official footballs for the boys.
They look so spectacular!

Campaign against child trafficking with Projects Abroad

Pacodep, in collaboration with Projects Abroad, organized a three month campaign against child trafficking to create awareness about this issue. Projects Abroad is an organisation which gives volunteers all over the world the opportunity to do voluntary work for some time. Together with 5 volunteers (journalists, social workers and a teacher) Projects Abroad travelled to Kete Krachi to work together with Pacodep to fight child trafficking/ child labour. During the period of 3 months the volunteers made a documentary, worked in the Village of Life (the child development centre for rescued children) and did outreaches in the community (mostly schools) to talk about human and children’s rights. They also gave training for the hospital staff, the prison staff and church members about mental health.
